Common Issues with Wow Bots

Here some are common issues I notice.

Please do not post your issues here,
But feel free to post issues that already have solutions.

This is not a support request thread,
Let's keep it that way.

This is mainly directed at the questions I get that are already provided here on the forums.


1: Make sure your anti virus and firewall is off (off, not disabled)

2: Make sure you have 1 (and only 1) installation of the 2005 c++ framework

3: If you are using vista or 7, you may need to run the bot as admin or use compatibility mode(s)

4: Be sure your computer is spyware and virus free.

Here are some LEGIT and FREE programs that work really well.

5: Make sure you have removed all previous installations of the bots before installing new ones.
(This means delete the file and folders, not download and replace with new files.)


6: Do not run addons with any of the bots.

7: Be sure to play in 800x600, with no ui scaling.

8: Make sure your Keyboard is set to US English.

9: Do not use the same patrol for each choice in your bot path tab.

"razor hill=attack" cannot be used for patrol, res, and to town patrol.

You will need "razorhillattack", "razorhill-res", "razorhill-totown" and so forth.

10: Make sure your keybindings are set to DEFAULT.
I don't care what the old tutorials show you, Remove all your keybindings.


11: Read the document or tutorial that comes with your specific bot,
They have pictures and information that help new users setup and get botting.
